THE BENEFACTORS are those mysterious forces; those who are experts of the esoteric, masters of the mysterious, and dealers of the delightful.
THE BENEFACTORS create participatory experiences known as "EXCES" that confound, intrigue, and include. They cannot do anything else.
THE BENEFACTORS first got together on October 14, 2021, and now they do things when they have the time (which is very exceedingly rare).
Consider them your humble guide into the interestingly infinite world of EXCIS.
What Is EXCIS?
EXCIS (ECK-sis) is something new.
EXCIS is whatever it needs to be to suit the moment (on purpose).
EXCIS is an ideal universal state of play in which each person engages with the world around them through a lens of play, joy, delight, and intrigue.
EXCIS is looking into the world beneath the world, then returning.
AN EXCIS is a constructed, participation-heavy experience that engages with the audience and invites them to play along. We create them.
AN EXCIS is a crowdsourced trinket exchange, a poster on a wall that doesn't quite make sense, or a paper beneath a cup beneath a rock beneath a code beneath a sheet.
AN EXCIS is something that we do together that makes us both happy.

2 - There is a special kind of person who goes through much of their lives feeling as if something is missing. This person sees the world laid out before them and cannot help but see SOMETHING ELSE -- something deeper, something livelier -- even when it is not there, which can be sad. The Benefactors exist to create that SOMETHING ELSE; by creating a second world and facilitating visits to it (excitheater), we uplift an Ideal Universal State of Play that increases appreciation for the surface existence. See the second world, and understand where its magic can fit into your own life. All we offer is the doorway.
